I enjoy the sense of satisfaction I feel at the end of each day having supported those who work in our care homes.
I work in the learning and development team, primarily helping our new starters through the mandatory pre-learning webinar and courses they need to complete before they can start in the care home.
Not everyone is the most tech-savvy, so it always makes me smile to see the less confident new starters grow in confidence as they navigate our digital systems, The Train Station (our eLearning website) and GoToWebinar. So, in summary, I would say I most enjoy helping our front-line team members and teaching them how to complete their necessary learning.

I start off my day by answering any urgent emails and phone calls that have come into The Train Station email inbox and the learning and development helpline.
Once those are done and dusted, I open up our database to run through our induction processes and inform our homes if any new starters have completed their training and are ready to start on the floor.
The rest of the day is a mix of emails, phone calls and running learning and development administrative processes.
Refreshing
