How did you begin a career at Four Seasons Health Care Group?

I started my career with Four Seasons Health Care Group in 2012 when I left the NHS to work as a nurse at one of our care homes. At the time my main motivation for the change was to improve my work life balance with 3 young children at home and a busy life outside of work. I quickly became Deputy Home Manager at the same home and then shortly afterwards took my first Home Manager role at a sister home.  I worked there for 3 years and then joined the then quality team which led to my becoming a Regional Support Manager.

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day now for me involves providing assistance in the 8 homes in our region, visiting them regularly and supporting the Home Managers and their teams. My job is varied and no 2 days are the same.

How would you describe the culture at Four Seasons Health Care Group?

I encourage openness and transparency and love to support teams to do the best job they can, sometimes looking at different ways of working, all in an effort to make life for our residents the best it can be. There are lots of exciting opportunities within the business with the introduction of new roles, new systems and new ways of working.

If you had to describe working here in one word what would it be?

Rewarding.
