Clinical Deputy Home Manager
Nursing - Bishopsmead Lodge, Bristol
I enjoy working within the whole home. I enjoy looking after the residents and working with the team.
Every day is different, but you can find me in the Kitchen cooking meals, making breakfast and lunch and preparing residents’ dinners. It’s a busy role and I enjoy that.
Menu cycles change every three weeks and then we do set of menus each season. This can be challenging but it's good to learn and cook different meals. The variation allows you to learn more and new recipes and skills.
Think about it like the residents are your mum or dad or your grandparents when you are caring for them. if you have a passion and you are hard-working, this can be a very good career I must say.
Fun as well as challenging, in a good way.
I was a chef in the army for six years. Then I had my son and after my maternity leave we moved to London and I joined Four Seasons Health Care Group.
