It is the 'people'. I work with the best colleagues that I could possibly wish for and I adore our wonderful residents and their families. 

I work as Care Home Administrator. I absolutely love my job, it is varied and challenging as no two days are ever the same. I love helping people and making a difference to people's lives. I love that my work is a seamless part of my life and I never get up in the morning and think, ''Oh no I have to go to work!''. I work in a fast paced environment where every day presents a new challenge and there is never a dull day, I love helping people and being part of a great team.

Our working environment is very caring. We are in this profession to care for our residents but as a team we also care and support each other every day. The team that I am blessed to be part of are my second family, we have amazing camaraderie.

My typical day consists of reporting, processing wages, booking appointments, running a very busy reception, taking telephone calls, greeting and assisting visitors, responding to e-mails, new resident enquiries and show people around, general and financial administration and being a great listener.

I was a Valuation Manager at a High Street Estate Agency. Much as I enjoyed the role I always knew that I needed a vocation where my role could really make a difference to other people's lives every day.

Working as an Administrator I am also the Home Manager's right hand person. I support my Manager in her role and assist in the all-round smooth running of the home which helps me to feel empowered in my role. 

I have learnt an awful lot already about the Care sector since joining Four Seasons Health Care Group but I also have a lot more to learn which I completely embrace. The more skills and knowledge that I build upon then the more I will have to contribute to my role.

My work does give me a great sense of pride and it's amazing when our residents and their families express to us their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for what we do.

My home has a fantastic relationship with the local community in particular the Sutton-on-Sea Residents Association and Sutton-on-Sea Primary School where the local children and our Residents are pen pals.
