Clinical Deputy Home Manager
Nursing - Bishopsmead Lodge, Bristol
I enjoy the daily challenges of not knowing what each day will bring, and that no two days are the same.
Being a Home Manager gives me the opportunity to build a solid team and give our residents a high standard of care.
The culture is open and honest no matter how difficult a situation may be.
There is no such thing as a typical day, as every day is different but the one similarity is that we can strive to make our resident’s day as happy as we can.
Each day varies and the role makes me feel proud to provide a lovely comfortable happy home for the residents.
Long career in the NHS working both clinically and managerially decided to move to jersey from Northumberland to take up the role as manager at La Haule.
I think that I am fair and honest, with a good sense of humour but will not tolerate anything but the best for the resident.
I feel empowered to provide a high standard of care and to lead a good team.
Always keen to learn new skills.
Yes - huge sense of pride, as La Haule has a good reputation on a very small island, where reputation means everything.
Financial rewards but the sense and achievement far outweighs this.
Home.
Because we have a solid team and lovely residents and a fabulous environment. It provide good quality care and we have strong links with local community’s and services.
