I enjoy the daily challenges of not knowing what each day will bring, and that no two days are the same.

What do you enjoy about being a Home Manager?

Being a Home Manager gives me the opportunity to build a solid team and give our residents a high standard of care.

How would you described the culture?

The culture is open and honest no matter how difficult a situation may be.

What does a typical day look like for you?

There is no such thing as a typical day, as every day is different but the one similarity is that we can strive to make our resident’s day as happy as we can.

What excites you about working here and how does the role make you feel?

Each day varies and the role makes me feel proud to provide a lovely comfortable happy home for the residents.

What did you do before joining Four Seasons Health Care Group?

Long career in the NHS working both clinically and managerially decided to move to jersey from Northumberland to take up the role as manager at La Haule.

What do your peers think of you?

I think that I am fair and honest, with a good sense of humour but will not tolerate anything but the best for the resident.

Working as a Home Manager, what makes you feel empowered?

I feel empowered to provide a high standard of care and to lead a good team.

How do you want to progress and grow?

Always keen to learn new skills.

Does your work give you sense of pride – why is that? Why are you proud to work here?

Yes - huge sense of pride, as La Haule has a good reputation on a very small island, where reputation means everything. 

Tell us about the rewards and benefits?

Financial rewards but the sense and achievement far outweighs this.

Why would someone want to work here?

Because we have a solid team and lovely residents and a fabulous environment. It provide good quality care and we have strong links with local community’s and services.
