I have recently celebrated my twenty years of service.

I started in 2002 as a Care Assistant and then went on to be a Senior Care Assistant then a Team Leader, followed by being a Deputy Manager and now I've been a Home Manager for the last six years.

The Group is very good with providing learning & development to team members. They’ve put a lot into me, to support me in my current role as a Home Manager.

I love my role as I like to give to others and I get a lot of satisfaction with supporting my residents and helping the families and my team.

Favourite moment throughout my career was winning at The Care Awards in 2019 for 'Best Dementia Champion'.

My advice for those considering a career in care is that you need to be caring, compassionate and you also need to be kind.
